Privacy Policy
What happens to your images, and what data the site itself collects.

Images you process on tryimager.com stay in your browser
As of the date above, every tool hosted on tryimager.com is browser-only. That covers all converters (JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, TIFF and SVG), all compressors, all resizers including the social media presets, and the crop, rotate, flip and grayscale editors. Files you select are read by your browser, decoded and re-encoded locally using the Canvas API (with a JavaScript TIFF decoder that also runs in your browser), and returned to you as a download generated from local memory.
There is no upload step, no processing queue and no image storage. We never receive your image, so we cannot read it, keep it, back it up or hand it to anyone else. Closing or reloading the tab discards everything.
Server-processed tools and temporary files
Some formats cannot be decoded in a browser at all. If we ever add a tool that requires server-side processing, it will be handled as follows, and only for that specific tool:
- The file type and size are validated in your browser before anything is sent.
- The file is placed in a temporary storage bucket that is not publicly readable and is used solely to produce your result.
- The temporary file — both the input and any generated output — is deleted immediately after the response is returned to you. Deletion is part of the request itself, not a scheduled cleanup job.
- The tool page carries the label "This tool temporarily processes your file on our server. Temporary files are automatically deleted." in place of the usual "Processed in your browser" label.
No tool currently in production uses this path. Any tool page that does not show the server-processing label is running entirely in your browser.
Tools hosted on other TryImager subdomains
Two tools listed on this site — ClarityUp 4K (clarityup4k.tryimager.com) and RemoveBG (removebg.tryimager.com) — are separate applications on their own subdomains. Choosing them takes you off this site, and how they handle your file is governed by the policy published on that subdomain, not by this page. Everything described here applies to pages served from tryimager.com itself.
Analytics
This site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-4WNGZR2L11) on every page through Google's gtag.js script. Google receives the standard data that comes with any page request — IP address, user agent, page URL and referrer — and sets its own cookies to distinguish one visit from another.
The custom events we send describe interactions only: which tool page was viewed, that a file was selected, that a conversion started, finished or failed, that a download happened, and which internal links were clicked. Filenames, file contents, the dimensions of your specific files and any other data derived from your image are never included in an event. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy documentation, and you can block it with a browser setting, an extension or Google's opt-out add-on.
Advertising
TryImager is free and is funded by advertising. The Google AdSense script (publisher ID ca-pub-2773750141920299) is loaded on every page of this site. Google and its advertising partners may set and read cookies or similar identifiers through that script to measure ad requests, limit repetition and detect fraud, and — where permitted — to personalise the ads you see.
Google's advertising cookies are set by Google, not by us, and we do not receive or store the data they carry. We never pass your image, filename or any file-derived information to an advertising service, because that data never reaches our servers in the first place. You can review and change ad personalisation in Google's Ads Settings, and manage the cookies themselves in your browser. Details of what is stored are in the cookie policy.
Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies, as described above. Storage we control ourselves is limited to interface preferences kept on your device — your theme choice, recently used and saved tools, and settings such as your last quality value. That data stays in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to us. See the cookie policy for detail.
Hosting and server logs
Pages and scripts are served by our hosting provider, which — like any web host — records standard request logs containing IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp for security and reliability. These logs describe page requests only; because images are never transmitted, they cannot contain your image data.
Children
TryImager is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
We do not hold your images, run no accounts and build no user profiles ourselves, so there is generally no personal data of yours in our hands to export or erase. Data collected by Google Analytics and Google AdSense is held by Google under its own terms; requests about that data, and ad personalisation settings, are handled through Google. If you believe we hold something about you, or you have a question about this policy, contact privacy@tryimager.com.
Changes
If the processing architecture changes — in particular if any tool starts using a server — this page will be updated with the specific tool named and the date above revised before the change goes live.
