Signature Resizer for Online Forms

Application portals almost always specify a signature in pixels and kilobytes — something like 140×60 and under 20 KB. The presets here cover the boxes that show up most often, and 'Fit inside' keeps the whole signature visible with padding rather than cropping off the tail of your name. How to use it

Frequently asked questions

Should I use Fit inside or Crop to fill?

Fit inside, almost always. A signature is wider than it is tall and rarely matches the form's ratio exactly; cropping to fill would cut off the ends. Fitting keeps every stroke visible inside the required frame.

My signature looks grey and blotchy. What went wrong?

That is usually a photo taken under uneven light rather than a resizing problem. Re-shoot in bright, even light on white paper, or run the image through the Grayscale tool first to remove the colour cast before resizing.

How do I get it under 20 KB?

At 140×60 or 300×80 pixels a signature is only a few thousand pixels in total, so the exported file is normally a handful of KB already. If it is still too large, compress it with the Image Compressor and check the measured result.

Is my document or ID photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is decoded and re-drawn entirely inside your browser with the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is stored, and closing the tab discards everything.
